They follow the shape of the wireline (no wire spring required), may not tack at the center gore, and create a more natural shape with limited lift and separation. Best suited for wire-averse wearers, wireless bras needing a touch of structure, or sleep bras to prevent the breast from rolling underneath. Size by wire length, not shape. Flexible wires are a specialized component designed for very specific applications. Unlike traditional underwires, flex wires follow the shape of the wireline rather than imposing their own shape. Because they flex and conform, no wire spring is required… but that same flexibility also means the center gore may not tack firmly (or at all). The resulting silhouette is more natural, with limited lift and separation, rather than the structured shaping typically associated with wired bras.
Flexible wires may be a good option if:
You are VERY wire-averse and easing back into wearing bras after an extended break (hello, pandemic!)
You want a small boost in support/structure in a wireless bra (not a bralette)
You are making a sleep or lounge bra and want gentle containment to keep the breast from rolling underneath while you sleep
Flexible wires are NOT recommended for:
Fitting Bands (test bras without cups)
Designs that rely on wire spring, firm lift, or defined separation
Replacing a correctly fitting traditional underwire
Choosing a Flexible Wire Size
Conventional guidance for flexible wires differs from traditional underwires. Because flex wires are soft enough to be reshaped by hand, wire length is the primary factor when selecting a size, rather than wire shape, style, or breast root trace. Once inserted, the wire will naturally follow the wireline of the bra.

These wires are offered as a closeout item, and sizing is limited. Not all wire sizes are available, including one size in the middle of the range. Availability reflects remaining stock only.
If you already know you prefer flexible wires or are intentionally experimenting with alternative support approaches, these can be a useful tool. If your goal is lift, separation, or diagnostic fitting feedback, traditional underwires remain the better choice.
